Cozy In-Home Engagement Photos

In-home engagement sessions are some of my favorite shoot because of how cozy and intimate they are. While I always love being able to photograph against beautiful scenery and unique locations, I think there’s also something unbelievably special and authentic about photos that feel grounded in real life domesticity. After all, marriage is much more about dancing in the kitchen and cuddling on the couch than it is about visits to stunning vistas (at least for most of us).

I had such a good time with Emilee + John in the quiet spaces of this home in the Portland hills, and afterwards we wandered out for a little walk through one of the nearby parks downtown, with some really beautiful native foliage.

Can’t wait to spend more time with Emilee and John on their wedding day next year.
